I Love Adobe AIR...

This is some kind of new record for me. 1.5 GB process for an Adobe AIR application. Well done, Adobe! :(

A couple more days of running Twhirl, maybe the process size will get larger than the amount of physical memory I have?

More from Xi Yan Private Dining

Here are two of my favorite dishes from Xi Yan Private Dining (38A Craig Road, Singapore).

  1. Salivating Chicken with Century Eggs & Konnyaku Noodles
  2. Pagoda Dongpo Pork Belly with Stuffing & Mushrooms

Doesn't just hearing the name of the dishes make you salivate?

Yusheng for the Rich and Famous (Xi Yan Private Dining)

This ain't your normal Yusheng.

Instead of your normal salmon fish slices, this special Yusheng from Xi Yan Private Dining (38A Craig Road, Singapore) has salmon, swordfish, AND octopus.

Instead of your normal plum sauce and vinegar, this Yusheng uses honey and olive oil. As a result, the taste is just perfect, without being overly sour or sweet.

I normally hate eating Yusheng, but this is the best Yusheng I have ever had. Just wow...

Repurposed Cutlery

Ever curious why some restaurants or hawker stalls give you spoons with a curved handle tip, especially at places which serve noodle soup like Japanese ramen? That is, besides the blatantly obvious reason of preventing the spoon from slipping and submerging itself in the soup?

Perhaps it is so that you can make a makeshift hashioki out of it?
